So I have decided more or less to give up riding, apart from the odd hack. I loathe schooling as I am really crap at it, I can't jump and don't like cantering (hurts my back) As a rider I am rubbish and unbalanced, I also feel I'm too heavy and struggle with weight even if I starve myself
I have a 6 year old loafing in the field, I toyed with the idea of selling him but the market is rubbish and he's not the best looking animal!! I did think about endurance, but my riding isn't upto it.
So - Alf will hopefully be broken to drive!!
Some good friends are into driving and the more I get involved the more I like it!! Perfect job for Alf, being a trotter cross too! Hopefully he will settle to his job and enjoy it as much as he enjoys his hacking out, he was a darling to break to saddle so hopefully he will be as good to break to harness, he will be sent away to be put to, but the groundwork I love so plan to do lots of this myself!
