There is a lovely meet with the bloodhounds on saturday near us. I am very tempted to take G horse as would be good for him to go jumping over "natural" country and I think hunting is very beneficial for them, and as of yet havent had chance this year. However, he is strong and a little bit silly out....the other option is go and jump 2 classes at the local eventers trial which may help us brush up on our SJing... first event is on the 30th March.... any thounghts?!!

If it was me I would go hunting!

What's his/your weakest part? SJ or XC?

That should give you your answer. My boy's is XC so would be tempted to go hunting

A hunting we wil go, a hunting we will go - stick with Donkey, everything goes calm around her!!! - just ask Pagancloughie!

The decision is up to you honey, but think SSM wants some company.
I've declined as Zara gets a bit to full on and we have some SJ coming up soon and don't really want to wind her up.........

What is this wind up thing - Donkey has turbo for a day - next day back to Donkey

I will be fine on my own (all those hunky men out hunting

), just always nice to have company!

Well if you already have a few SJ outings planned then I would say hunting.

Have you tried a pelham - my boy is a sensitive snaffle mouth (doesn't even like a Myler) but I couldn't stop him in a dutch gag yet on the next outing I actually had some form of brakes with a rubber jointed pelham and roundings

Hunting every time!!!! I am missing the next meet because I have a girth strap that needs a bit of re stitching so very very gutted about that one. So go for it and get out while you can!!!

I have no brakes either but he should settle and find a space/pace that he is happy with just go and enjoy!!!!

Your so lucky!!!! TALLY HOOOOOOOOOOOO
