I moved into my new home last November, and am trying to decorate on an absolute shoestring budget, whilst using spare cash to do the important stuff, like rewiring etc..
The wardrobes were an awful shade of pink, but loads of storage, and good overall condition. I painted them with emulsion paint, no primer or undercoat, just two coats slapped on with a roller and brush, and changed the handles for wooden knobs.
The garden shed was probably from a similar era, and hadn't been treated with wood preservative for years. Three coats of Cuprinol Garden Shades Natural Stone colour.
