Hi, I would like some shopping advice please. My horse has a western saddle at the moment but I am going to have him fitted for an English one very soon. Is there a good quality deep seated English saddle that I could go for. I am a happy hacker but do some very small jumps in the school sometimes. Any ideas thank you.

saddles are very individual, what is comfy for me may not suit you..however i am now a happy hacker and have a barnsby gp saddle which is deep seated and i think very comfy and is suitable to jump in. why not go to a saddlers and sit in loads of them to get an idea what feels good for you and then get the saddler to come to your horse to fit it .

i have a gfs event saddle for my mare it is amazing! really keeps your bum in :-) also have a derby house (its a make not the shop) saddle on the youngster - lovely too i like one with a deep seat

I love the kiefers, like a bucket arm chair!! Unfortuanly it didnt fit my horse due to tree shape of kiefers

.... Was considering changing horse to keep the saddle..... ;-)

i 2nd the keiffer - my keiffer has fitted most horses i've tried it on - except in length (short backed pony, horse sized saddle)
