Somewhat agree with Ffionwinnie - although I don't like simply talking about "tighter", just a saddle fitter thing . A thicker pad will lift the saddle (and fractionally more at the front than the back) and give more concussion absorption but it can't redistrbute pressure points, or correct most issues of movement in the saddle, if it is of uniform thickness. I like the Mattes 4 pocket correction pads but they are pricey and need a good eye and understanding to fit them correctly.
