I know you can buy antlers for dogs the new natural dog chew, but is there any reson you couldn't give them antlers found in the woods etc. I guess the ones for sale are sterilised?
before being sold.

What a good question and I shall eagerly await what other aad say. I have quite a few roe deer antlers that have got baled up in the hay and often wondered if I sawed off the sharp ends If the dogs coud have them.

Of course they can,in the days of horned cattle mine used to get cow horns off slaughtered cattle, and now they get cows empty hooves.

yup they are fine - i wouldnt' even worry about taking the points off - they soon chew through them ;)
eta - dont' worry about sterilizing - the dogs prob eat far worse stuff on walks anyway ;)
