Has anyone been there? They have a two phase event coming up where they have an 'Approx 2'3' class and an 'Approx 2'6' class - I dont know which to enter! Any advice gratefully received; I dont want to go over 2'6 at the moment, so if it is a full up course then I think I'd better stick with 2'3...

Is it a nice course? The website looks fab! :)

I've been schooling there, but not done a competition

All I can say is that they have water (x2), ditches, steps and drops etc

So if your horse is a bit sticky on the more unusual fences (rather than pure height), I'd stick to the smaller size and make it a confidence building exercise.

Its a very easy 2'6 course the palisade in my sig is DeerPark and that is probably the biggest fence - the water is very inviting - the smaller course is tiny tiny .
there is a ditch alternative and the water isnt a step down its a 2ft log then a few strides - go on be brave !!

I've only schooled there but the jumps are mostly nice and inviting, in my opinion the water is terrible though so be careful. If I'm honest I was disappointed when I went there and don't think I'd bother going again, it's also quite difficult to get to so be prepared. But as a confidence building course it's good (was my horses first ever cross country and she jumped everything). (Only my opinions so I'm sure others will disagree with me).

I would agree with TS re the water, the last time I went (November, did the 2'3"), we had to jump a tiny log which was just in the water and the take off was very boggy. I think the new water (haven't been through it) is lined with concrete!

Other than that it is well built and inviting and generally gets plenty of entries, even though the fees are a bit steep (IMO)!
