And, for what it's worth, the nastiest dogs I've seen recently have been JRTs!
You want to meet mine, soft as grease
There was a talk on Radio 2 about Staffs bout 1pm ish, some n*b head was saying how the breed should be banned because people clearly aren't responding to being educated, and another phoned in and said that they were born to kill and rip to shreds not just bite and let go like other dogs - made me so cross!
It's not the breed it's the upbringing, same as JRTs, same as any breed.
Glad to see they're finally getting something positive, they're a smashing breed
You know me....Im not one to arguebut I think the radio nob has a point, clearly they are being ott and could have phrased things alot better
like..... "indeed they can cause alot more damage than the average dog when they do attack when in the wrong hands and for safety sake then we need to re think the ownership of certain breeds" or "they can cause immense damage in such a short space of time when not properly socialised esp towards other animals or when out of control compared to other breeds, for instance... sure westi's, yorki's and j.r,t's can be little feckers
but they cannot cause the same damage and just don't insight the same fear to people as other breeds"
Certainly we need more education, but imo there are certain breeds that fill me with dread when in the wrong hands compared to others, obviously I would like to see these idiots with none!
Just another POV
