Hello everyone,

I am a third year degree student at Warwickshire College, studying a BA(Hons) in equine studies. I am currently in the process of collecting data for my dissertation which is on laminitis. I aim to determine the role of therapeutic shoeing through the means of questionnaires. I have designed two questionnaires - one aimed at owners (who have/had experience with laminitis) which asks the participant to state what who diagnosed their horse (e.g. vet, farrier etc.), at what stage of laminitis their horse was when diagnosed and what management practice was advised. I am also conducting a separate questionnaire aimed at veterinary surgeons and registered farriers, asking them to state what managing practice they feel is most effective to relieve pressure and pain for the horse.

If anyone is interested in taking part in this study I will be extremely grateful. Please be aware that only over 18s can complete this survey and it is completely anonymous. Also, no further information will be required once completing the questionnaire. Please click on the link below:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you are interested in hearing the results please let me know, I will be glad to release my information once I have had the dissertation the marked.

Thank you in advance for your time and support,
Amelia

I work with horses and the survey looks like it only allows me to complete it for one horse and it is spoken of as my horse-I have never owned a horse with laminitis but have looked after many

Hi, that is fine. You can complete the questionnaire multiple times if appropriate (i.e. have had experience with more than one individual diagnosed with laminitis). As long as you are able to answer the questions (such as knowing who diagnosed the horse and what management was advised etc.). Hope this helps
