Hello all, I’ve just brought a new pony that I was told is 3, 1/2 years old. Passport matches up but when the vet came out, they said his lower teeth matched his age and his top teeth where delayed (I asked because they looked very younger teeth). I’ve never heard about a pony having delayed teeth and when I tried to research more about it, a lot of stuff online is about infections… so I just I’m just wondering if anyone else has had similar or knows anymore about delayed teeth? My vet didn’t seem worried so I assumed it wasn’t an issue but from googling it (I know shouldn’t google stuff 😂) I’m now panicking!
Thanks in advance.

My last mare had teeth a year younger than she was on top. She was in fine health. The vets said it just sometimes happens and he thought her passported age was correct.

They came through fine and she had a healthy mouth.
