Firstly, sorry i got no matchy matchy pictures of my lesson yesterday, dad had to stay at home and look after my poorly brother :( luckily he is better now :D

Today i took Delicia to Chart Court farm for some unaffiliated novice h/c and unaffiliated elementary. We arrived in good time, but she had decided to remove her front travel boots for me  , luckily she had already had her bandages put on before we left so not overally bothered.

I tacked up and got on, she felt fab if a bit pingy so spent the warm up doing transitions, getting her to think about my aids and come back to me. Went into Novice 20 with my mother calling. It was a last minute decision to enter today so i hadnt looked at the test. (bad mistake!). The first medium trot she broke (after a squeal of course!) into canter but i brought her back. She was a bit tense but as the test went on she improved. The judge wrote some very fair comments, "Lovely horse, just a little tension at times and this showed in the balance in the transistions, but you controlled that canter well". :D

I was over the moon, we scored 66.40% and would have won by 3% if i hadnt gone HC :rolls:

Next was Elementary 44, i had a gap of 8 minutes between the classes so concentrated on relaxing her, trotting and walking on a loose rein getting her to stretch over her back. We entered the arena and it was as though she suddenly grew up. Unfortunately in her halts she still lifts her right foreleg (showing tension) but she is getting better and waiting for me more (something a bit of arena time will iron out eventually). She produced a lovely test, her trot work was rhythmical (sp?) and her canter 100% better, though she did loose a little balance on the second 5 metre loop but that was my fault as i lost balance.

I exited the arena over the moon with Delicia and didnt care about my placing or my mark, i was proud of my beautiful pony. I walked her off for about 20 minutes, watching the other competitors and patting and talking to delicia as i did. I took her back to the lorry and reloaded her, giving her haynet back (poor thing was starved ;) ) I went back to get my sheet and......

I'd won! I got a score of 69.60%, beating second place by 9%! (seocnd place got 60.20%). I was OVER THE MOON and hugged my mother and promptly burst into tears! (im rather hormonal at the moment).

Im so proud of my beautiful black beauty. She is my life and my world and it finally seems like it is all coming together! The class was a hicksted qualifier, does this mean i have qualified now?

We are out again on the 18th so watch this space!

Now picture time :D

Very well done! It takes time to get it together with a big moving horse, and she is one of the most talented horses I've seen on here.
