Dengie alfalfa pellets

Can these be fed unsoaked? I thought they could and have bought a bag to mix with nuts in a feed ball but on label it says they should be soaked.

One of my customers feeds them unsoaked if he just gives a handful, but soaks them if it's a proper feed. I would ring the helpline to be sure.

soak it.

I soak mine in boiling water the night before,looks like sugar beet the next day.

Why don't you give Dengie a ring and ask whether they are OK to feed unsoaked if feed from a feed ball? I suspect they recommend soaking the pellets to prevent greedy feeders choking, but this is less likely when fed from a ball.

No they don't, I emailed Dengie and they said the bag is outdated and they are fine dry. Our youngster has them in his snack ball and loves them.

that's great thanks everyone. I was sure I had seen that but then the bag made me worry that I have to soak them. They are going in the feed ball to bulk out the nuts, hopefully he might eat more of these than the alfa a
