When I posted about suggested diets for my horse earlier
What would you feed this horse

alot of people suggested Alpha A Oil.
So I contacted 3 of the major feed manufacturer's, Dengie, D&H and A&P...
Dengie have suggested Alpha A Oil (but at reduced amounts to combat weight gain) and their Alpha A Balancer.....has anyone tried this or got any thoughts on it?

D&H suggested their alfalfa and Ultimate Balancer....again anyone used this before?

A&P are yet to get back to me...

Thanks v. much

My lad was on the dengie balancer (a very good doer) when recovering from slight aneamia and a kidney infection, i would highly reccommend it. He was on hi fi good doer and alfa beet too and he is in great condition now. I stopped the balancer after 4 months, but he did better on this than baileys low cal. each to their own, you just have to find the right mix for your horse. I admit it is expensive but I cant complain from the results I saw with my lad, I will probably use it again at the end of summer when the grass is poor x

thanks vicksey - to be honest, I didn't think £25 a bag was too bad if it did the job! Dengie are going to send me a sample which is helpful too.

Thanks

I do rate the dengie feeds tbh, after 3 years have only just got the right balance
