That's odd. I wonder if more people were feeding grass nuts due to the price of other feeds.

Here's to hoping that the grass starts growing soon so that they can eat the stuff in their fields rather than needing grass nuts.

Not much grass grew last year. I'm not surprised they are in short supply. We're mixing them up with fast fibre so a bag lasts longer!
I definitely think it is down to last year's non grass growth. There are no grass nuts and no grasstastic, which I also feed. There was something else, chaff I think, that the feed merchant mentioned and that had sold out as well due to people buying that instead of the nuts.

I discovered this yesterday. My supplier has a pallet of some other grass nuts coming on Friday, but I'm petrified of changing my horse's feed once I've got her settled on something.

I think it's a combination of lack of grass last year and also people cutting down on compound feeds and using grass nuts instead.

Here’s some grass nuts in stock:

I havent used them or know if theyre truly dried grass leaf or ground-up hay made into a pellet (should be called hay nuts, but sometimes can still be called grass nuts).
Doesnt say which type of grass/hay either - get in touch with them if you want further info. But if you dont mind if theyre grass or hay, they might suit?

Our lot aren't fussy-they'll eat any brand (if we can find any to buy!!) I've just been to our local Scats (Mole Valley, but it's still Scats to me). None in there.

I did, however, pick up 2 bags of Dengie Ulcer Kind Chaff for half price as slightly damaged. Definitely worth popping in if one is local to you to see if they have damaged bags. The price of feed has risen significantly so every little helps.

Thanks for the heads up. Someone from the yard was going to Titmuss and picked me up the last bag of Grasstastic they had. I use it to stretch out the Agrobs musli which has gone up from £18 to £26 in just over a year.

I share a delivery with someone else every couple of months and that would be due middle of April. I've maybe got enough to last till the end of April if I'm stingy but as someone was popping in, o asked them to pick me up a bag.

Yep, I buy emerald green meadow magic for my 2 ems ponies and I order it in to my feed merchants. They told me I wouldn’t need to pre order any for next month as that is all they can get in now in the way of grass nuts so people would be buying those instead now. I think graze on still have stock. I admit I panic bought 6 bags to last me!

I use meadow magic in place of grass nuts. No problem getting hold of them currently.

I think where it says out of stock on their website it means that your current supplier wont be able to get more from them when they've sold what they've got so you may want to buy a couple of extra bags while you can!

Thanks. Luckily I have just stocked up anyway, as I am going away for a couple of weeks soon, and don't want to have to worry about feed orders for a while. :)
