At the weekend our local Farmway had a special offer on the Dengie feed range, £5.00 off if you bought a bag of the balancer and a bag of the Hi Fi stuff together.

I've been using Blue Chip bit it's sooo expensive, especially when I'm feeding 3, so thought I'd give it a go.

Anyone else use it? I bought the Hi Fi balancer.

i have been given a bag of this to try for my good doer......she has the hifi lite in her bucket and i put the balancer in her ball, too early to say how good it is yet but she likes it and gives her a decent feed......plus all the vits and mins, should work out economical too.

I haven't tried it yet because when I did the sums it worked out so expensive; at around £22 (without the voucher) for 10kg, it becomes a lot more expensive than TopSpec Comprehensive which I currently use.

I have just posted in NL about this. Thinking about getting the Hi-Fi balancer as it complements their normal feed much better than blue chip. I know I can get it at a certain feed merchant for 17 quid, which works out cheaper than blue chip too.

Does anyone know how long a 10kg bag would last 3 ponies(2 14.2hhish and a shettie?)

You should feed 100g per 100kg, so going from the Dengie website, if a shetland is roughly 200kg and each 14.2 is roughly 400kgs then you'll need to feed a total of 1,000g per day, so a 10kg sack will last 10 days.

Thanks Megan2006, that's the same as the Dengie Fibremix Complement I had a few weeks ago....

just a quick update, been using this for about 2 months now, feeding it with the hi-fi stuff. I bought the high fibre balancer works out at about £17.00 a bag.

My three year old's coat looks fab, so shiney and she hardly ever gets brushed! She's also looking nice weight wise. So I suppose I will continue to use it
