Dengie grass pellets vs emerald green?

Hi all. I have successfully managed my mare's hives by putting her on emerald green grass pellets. I can't get these where I am now without huge delivery cost - has anyone any experience with the Dengie pure grass products? My local Mole Valley stocks these.
She is a good doer but I need something to carry meds and supplement the scorched earth.

I buy in bulk from Emerand Green- the price per bag comes down and the delivery cost split across the bags makes them cheaper for me. They have a 2 year shelf life and do keep very well

Not the pellets but I fed the Dengie grass chaff one time when I couldn't get Grasstastic. Similar specs and fussy horse eats both. The fact that Emerald Green are much cheaper is the main reason I buy it but would rethink if Dengie were cheaper.

But yeah mine like the Dengie ones, not the pure grass chaff though, I didn't rate the quality of that much. The meadow grass is excellent.

Mine like the Dengie grass pellets they smell lovely! I'm throwing a small scoops worth around the track to supplement grazing, keeps them busy for ages foraging for them.
They take a while to soak if that's your intention, I used to do it overnight back when I did that.

I've fed emerald green for years. I havnt been able to get them recently so I bought dengie. They are more expensive and do smell and look different. My fussy boys are eating them though.

My horse really likes the Dengie grass pellets, I use them to make watery slops for hot days, or to hide meds in as they seem to be very tasty, and they absorb a lot of water each so you need only a tiny handful

I am feeding Northern Crop Driers Graze on grass pellets. I do not know if Mole Valley sell them.

My horse loved the Dengie Grass Pellet until they went from dark green to more of a brown colour, she won't touch them now. Dengie very kindly refunded me the cost of the bag and said they had sourced the grass from a different supplier and that had resulted in the change of colour and smell. Stormy was not happy. So I've had to ditch them for now.

All I will say is PLEASE Please please be careful if you are feeding these pellets without soaking; I've seen two horses on two separate occasions choke on grass pellets. The last one was an old boy at my yard who'd gobbed them down and he'd gone into choke. We had to get the vet out on an emergency call as he was struggling to breathe with it. Hard to watch. Luckily he was ok though.

Thank you. Yes I always soak thoroughly.

My Highland likes the Dengie grass pellets but turned up his nose at the Emerald Green ones. I brought some of the EG ones to the PRE, who had the same view.

I have previously used dengie grass nuts, recently got some emerald green, and blimey they are very green, almost fluorescent.

I had one choke. I was indoors at the time, when I came out he looked normal but the entire stable and yard outside it was covered in a green ectoplasm from Ghostbusters. I'm glad I missed it, it must have been terrifying. I would never feed unsoaked grass nuts again.

Thanks everyone. I've ordered some EG to be delivered and found a better deal. On balance from everyone's advice seems better to stick with what we know!

Always used dengie grass and alfalfa pellets all of mine past and present have loved them.

I've used both. Just changed back to dengie, and he sends to be preferring these now.
