Does anyone use this.

I need a hay replacer but would like to know if it is as soft and as palatable as Alfa A Oil which horse does enjoy but cant be used as a replacer.

I use it for a livery who can't chew his haylage any more. He loves it, I give him about 1/2 a big tub trug full at a time. It's softer and chopped smaller than normal alfa a but I've never used the oil so don't know about that.

I used it when I had Ally, but not as a hay replacer but in as the chaff in his feed. From what I remember it was soft and the fibres are short cut, but it does contain quite a bit of alfa. It helped to keep weight on him but he didn't have any problems with his teeth. Ally really liked it and even I thought it smelled good

Hi Spans
I used to use HiFi Senior for H as she didn't find the alpha palatable - It's really soft and short cut - when I was doing an open day alongside a Dengie rep she was explaining how they use Hi Fi Senior as a hay replacer in lots of racing yards.
