Now my fatty has lost the weight he needed to after me cutting he's haylege down and giving him Dengie good doer as a partial hay replacer, shall I keep doing this or put him back on the amount of haylege he was on before as I don't want him loosing anymore weight??

I wouldm't put him straight back up to what he was on before. You'll need to try to work to find a happy medium.

Was he putting on lots of weight on what he was on before or was it fairly static? Has his work load also changed to try and shift some of the weight?

same i wouldnt straight away its easy to add the weight back on esp as its still summer with grass growing. See how he is in a few weeks time and decide then if you need to add more back into his diet.

He came back from loan very over weight, no idea what work load the girl had been doing so I just set to work getting him fit, we do about 40 minutes varied work a day, abigai not sure where abouts you are but we have hardly any grass left and none growing :( l

If he's working every day and you are happy with his current weight then he needs to be eating enough to give him the energy for the work he is doing.

If he's going to carry on working at the same level then to stop him from losing weight he will either need more food, or a feed with a bit more energy. I'd keep monitoring his weight (with a weight tape if possible as you'll notice any change quicker than just by looking) and increase it gradually until he stops losing weight. Bear in mind that he could well increase his girth as his topline develops but this will be muscle not fat!

You could increase it slightly and double net it so it takes longer to eat, weigh weekly with a weigh tape to be sure he's not putting it back on

maybe I should double net my mouth then I could loose weight !
