thanks to all who gave me advice last night about how to jump indoors!
well i went anyway and arrived on time to jump around 10pm at the indoor...
it was only 90cm to 1m course, but i had to keep motoring on. jumped a warm up of 1-6, then straight in to the actual round of 1-8, where he jumped well but a little slow. its a good thing he is very honest as i saw some long strides! the only real bogey fence in the course was a 3 pony strided double, and the horses all found the distance strange, and i myself got 2 and a half strides in it!
but we went clear and inside the time, so out we went to learn our speed round
draw picked and i was last to go
so waited till all the ponies had gone very speedy and the horses had gone, and then i had to go! it was a good speed round as he was more together and we did some shockingly tight turns on a circle
but we found this easy due to all the training we have done at home jumping on a circle...
so we went clear in a time of 31 secs, and this was good so we were placed 6th but unfortunaltly we didnt quailfy as its only the top 4 that qualify for the finals!
but pleased as our jumping is coming on in leaps and bounds!
