Denim breeches recommendations?

In a bid to make it *slightly* less obvious when I pop into the petrol station/supermarket or anywhere else to or from the yard, I'd like to try some denim breeches. I'm letting myself believe that from a distance, it'll be less obvious than wearing 'normal' breeches ... :D

Can anyone recommend a pair that are relatively smart, won't give me the dreaded baggy knee look and ideally won't absolutely break the bank?!
 
Following with interest. I've tried a few brands. I've found they aren't stretchy enough, once discovered when I couldn't bend my knee mounting... tricky. And they tend to be small for their sizing.
 
Don't know what you are looking to spend but the Lauria Garrelli denim breeches from Equus are about £38 ish they were brilliant never baggy on the knee and kept the colour well I used them till the fly gave up over twelve months after buying. I purchased some from Kramer couple of months ago and they faded and lost elasticity on the knee within two weeks and they are now already down graded to being mucky jobs breeches- poo picking etc. Equus do have good sales do I would get on there mailing list.
 
Why can't you go into petrol station/wherever in breeches? Perfectly normal behaviour where I live.

My best denim breeches are Ariat, then Greys and Bays. Had both for a while, lots of washes. No bagginess and both are quite high waisted.

Of course I can & I do. But, when I'm trapsing around Sainsbury's on an evening having come directly from the yard I feel a bit self-conscience when clearly in breeches. Particularly having had a few silly comments off men.

I think in denim breeches once I've changed my footwear it'll look far less obvious.

premier equine are lovely. i wouldnt reccomed jeans/jeggings to ride in as the seam down the inside rubs the saddle and damages the two seams either side of the tree.
 
I like my horsiness to look obvious if I'm going somewhere straight from the yard! My theory being if I smell a bit it will be obvious why and people won't just think I'm smelling a bit pissy ;)
 
M & S jeggings are great, £15 and really comfy in and out of the saddle. The original HacTac were brilliant, reasonably priced and lasted for ever, but they're now made in China so don't know if quality is as good.
 
I just got some Moutain Horse ones which are great so far - they have those silicone dots on the knees and bum so are really subtle. They also come up quite big so I bought the kiddy ones, makes them way cheaper. They seem to be really good quality.

Haha! That is a good point :D

To be fair, if I'm coming from the yard I'll never look super tidy but I keep wet wipes, perfume, a change of jumper/coat & driving shoes in the car so hopefully don't smell too disgusting to other shoppers ...

I've treated myself to a pair of Ariat denim breeches this morning. I'm not a huge fan of gel on breeches & these were the plainest breeches I could find :)
