****WARNING VERY STRONG LANGUAGE****

don't agree with what he did at the end , but I'm sure I may have been tempted too if it had been me !

i have no idea who he is, but i dread to think what he might have done to that horse later. he took a very long time to get up the first time, wonder if he was a bit concussed?
must admit, i thought the bad language was the most entertaining part of all...!

Seems like a right git! He let the horse get flatter and flatter without doing anything about it and then didn't even go see if the poor animal was OK after that fall. Surely this is conduct unbecoming of a sportsperson?

Agreed

I haven't a clue who he is either aparently he won the global champs tour gp and another gp recently...

yes, i'd agree with that, he wasn't using his legs at all (from the start, before the first fall.)
he did seem pretty knocked about by both falls though. i wouldn't have taken the horse back to him, actually!

Well it all makes you wonder. He was down after the first fall and no one went to check he was alright! There wasn't much of a check-up before he got on again and he did seem quite shaken up. As for getting on again at the end that is down right silly and I would have expected a steward to intervene by then!

agreed. at BE, they insist on checking you over before you get back on, especially if you're on the floor that long.
i agree that the first was a dirty stop, but it was a big fence and he was just sitting there not using his legs...!
the second fall was just unlucky, horse knuckled over, but he couldn't have known that. he shouldn't have been allowed to get back on imho.

Jeesh, I mean the horse didn't fall on purpose.
I could see why he may have got angry at it when it ran out, but all that swearing is a bit unecessary!

I thought you got eliminated after the first fall?

And he certainly shouldn't have got back on after the horse fell!

I dread to think what he did to it back at the lorry

I had already seen this but didnt realise who it was. the only slightly amusing thing about the clip is his language. I do think that first fall was definitely his own fault, horse was completely flat to it and he just sat there. Not really a very pleasant picture, felt very sorry for the horse.

TBH what I was more shocked that nobody went to check him after his first fall, especialy as he took a great deal of time to move. I'm thinking he might of been concussed? His swearing made me laugh, I'd be lieing to say I haven't said such such things to each of my horses before... maybe not at a show and certainly not after a fall. The horse looked flat and on the fore hand to me, I was impressed he jumped so many clear as he did. I haven't competed to that height, and infact I haven't fallen off competing(!) but I thought BSJA you have to leave after a fall (without remounting)?

What a wan*er. Think the horse looks uncomfortable from the start. Poor thing bet it's sore in it's front legs or feet.

Makes me losing my temper look a bit tame actually

I think the horse was so on his forehand it was inevitable it would fall sooner or later, but he needs to realise it was his own riding that caused that fall...
I would also worry it had something wrong in its front feet, it did go very oddly on them..
The language didn't worry me, but what he may have done to the horse at home will...

i laughed out loud when i heard him start swearing - it all happens to us sometimes!

i thought it was very funny

but someone should have checked him - he was down for ages

He's an Irish rider.

Could just have been a bad day for both of them.

Weird that they let him continue after the first fall...

It's not the language so much that bothered me, I've said similar to my horse before now for whatever reason. I've always ended it right there though, just swearing at him. What worried me was when he was saying "give me a stick" and all this "macho" stuff.
He didn't get up for so long after the first fall though and coming up to the jump before the one he fell at he looks off balance, wonder if he was concussed?
The first fall was his own fault though, he has legs, why not use them?!

If he'd ridden at all he'd have probably jumped well on a horse that good. The language was hilarious tho - i have never heard someone that bad when in the arena!!
I did once hear something similar, but it came from a 12 year old boy who just lost by one tenth of a second in the 12.2 A finals at Dublin to the last competitor!

I feel for the poor horse. Not a horseman or sportsman IMO. I agree that someone should have checked him though.

serves him right! its not the horses fault its the rider!!!
i would hate to think what he did tot hat horse when he got it home!!!
