Dent in horses neck??

Was lungin Mysti yesterday and she spooked at somthing and galloped off.

When she stopped i noticed a dent on the left side of her neck where her windpipe should be. She was also lame but i dont think its related lol.

May have been there before, it wasnt me who groomed her so possibly was there and i didnt notice.

Asked a friend if she knew what it was and she said its a thumb print (thumb mark?) and said dont worry.

Doesnt bother Myst at all you can touch prod and poke at it fine and she isnt having any breathing/eating difficulties.

But im still worrying

Anyone come across this before?

It's called a prophet's thumb mark and is supposed to be lucky. It will have been there all her life.

Ive had her almost a year and never noticed it .. lol.

Maybe its just where she was arching her neck and puffing i noticed it more
