A bit off subject, but EDTs, do you routinely get your clients to sign consent forms? Do your profesional indemnity insurers require you to?

No they dont require it but it is something we have talked about within the BAEDT, just get them to sign the dental chart prior to treatment.

how is it category 3, it's either surgery or not surgery and who defines that? I've read the 1966 vets act and there's nothing about dentistry in it! the categories are guidelines set by BAEDT and have not been legally written and confirmed by defra yet, i may be wrong though? It's removal of tooth by a diamond burr so doesn't that make it cat 2 anyway?

p.s. i didn't know we had to keep duplicate charts, i do, but i know baedt members that don't do charts, some of clients don't want them!
