dentist in glos?

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a horse dentist that works in the gloucestershire area? Afraid I'm not very impressed with the vets efforts, and it seems that just because someone is a dentist it doesn't seem to mean that they are any good!
Any recommendations (or stay aways!) would be really appreciated.

Simon Prately is very good and fully qualified. Does a lot of top Competitors such as William Fox-pitt etc. Don't think he is too expensive. Know him as I work for his wife and he is lovely, also I'm studying Equine Dentistry and he is very helpful.

Wayne Abbott's always done mine - think he's based in somerset but he covers a wide area and I've always been very impressed. Agree with you that you just don't get teh specialist care with a vet. Having said that the last horse I had done was one of my husbands and he needed to be heavily sedated to get anything done so it was easier to get a vet to do it.

Depending where exactly you are, another recommendation for Wayne abbott. He is (in my opinion) a brilliant EDT.
