Gutted I can’t get hold of my long term dentist. He was always difficult to pin down but couldn’t get him last year or the year before. I have on the off chance sent a message asking if he’s still working but it’s not been read.
Since then I’ve used a few others but just didn’t feel they were as thorough or for other reasons wasn’t keen.
Any recommendations please?
Based near Burford 20 mins Cirencester area.
Needs to be quiet and calm as although they are all pretty good to do one is a very nervous elderly pony who will go into flight mode if scared, he also has the beginnings of EORTH

We used Curtis Thompson (now Wessex equine dental) for a long time. Was always surprisingly easy to book in, and fitted us in when frank stopped eating.

frank was not dentist friendly and I knew he wouldn’t get on with the yard dentist when we moved, I sent Curtis a pretty long email saying what he did behaviour wise and he pretty much replied ‘a bit welsh then’ ? no problem.

Thank you, is this the one?

Yes, I think Ryan came for the last visit we had, fitted us in fairly quickly again. I didn’t meet him but mum did :)

We‘ve also used Curtis for years. Very quiet and patient with the horses.

Another vote for Curtis! Recently had Ryan too & whilst lovely, not sure he’d be as good if you had a difficult one so would definitely ask for Curtis you can.

Just to update. Had Wessex out yesterday. Ryan came. I really liked him. He was chatty, nice and quiet to the horses. Commented on how well done previously my horse had been done, I like that. It annoys me when people instantly dive in slagging off the competition.
He explained everything he’d done, and I had reports emailed the same day.

Although he said he hadn’t had to do much to my horse does a weird jaw stretchy thing when I bridle him, just lasts a few seconds and I’ve tried changing bridles/bits etc. it never changes even after having his teeth done previously.
I’ve tacked up twice since Ryan did him and twice he’s not done it 🤞🤞
Thanks for the recommendation!
