Dentist said my gelding is a poof!!

Chico had the dentist this morning and he didnt half make me chuckle.

The dentist had an initial look and the conversation went as follows

Dentis - 'Look, he has his lower canines but not his upper canine, i dont think he is going to ever get his top canines.'
Me - 'Oh right, why would that be?'
Dentist - 'They grow the canines in response to increased testosterone levels in their body when they are young. Obviously Chico is a bit of a girl!'
Me - *laugh*
Dentist - 'If you look at chestnut mares they normally have huge canines!'
Me - 'Really, so it's not a myth about them then?'
Dentist - 'No, they really are mental' *laughs* 'But poor Chico, you're a poof!'

I couldnt help but giggle. Chico is such a sweetheart and everyone says he is too pretty for a gelding. Now i know why, he's a big girls blouse, lol!!

Haha...my coloured also doesnt have top ones!! He is also feminine...would have made a lovely broodmare!!
Out of interest does your dentist file his canines or just leave them to get sharp?

I didnt notice him filing them today, but his canines are only small at the moment so wouldnt need filing yet i dont think.

thanks! I only asked as the TB im riding at present i noticed his were super sharp, got dentist out (only 2months after his regular visit) who said normally they leave them, i though that odd as surely a sharp tooth could be the reason my TB is head shaking suddenly!

My old dentist called mine the "little white rhino" after he didn't believe me how bargy she was (I had just got her!) and she proceeded to flatten him and drag him round the stable.

New dentist is fab and she stands stock still and good as gold
