I’ve just paid the deposit on this beauty, but have to wait a few weeks to pick them up!

I’ve always wanted a rocking horse and now I’m pregnant I decided the baby obviously HAS to have a rocking horse ? I haven’t bought anything else baby related yet ?

I need some name inspiration please!

Wow, that is beautiful. Elf on a Shelf's post made me think how much I like Silver. Very traditional name, but rocking horses are so traditional.

At least you dont have the worry of getting your deposit back if it fails a vetting :D

Well done! I was going to post "buy it!" on the other thread.

Mine is called Rocky, how terribly predictable!

Tonto

We had a lovely lovely grey racehorse in the yard who was a very good horse. His racing name was Silver By Nature and his stable name was Tonto.

Ohh I do like something Silver themed or Tonto! I like the racing connection too as both of my previous horses have been ex-racers.

Haha I know! No stress for vetting, only the worry of if it will fit in my dad's car!

I assumed this would be a horse so I was going to say why don’t you have a look at the parents/grandparents names for inspiration ??
It’s gorgeous!!
Hmmm. Misty, storm, dusty (but don’t let him get dusty ?), Smokey

Goes without saying but hope you get vet, back, saddle and teeth checked ASAP and I'd also pop it on some turmeric just to be safe.

Maybe a gastric supplement too, just to be safe!

gorgeous rocking horse!!! :)
I know it's so beautiful! Totally not the practical purchases I should be making right now but I couldn't resist!

Timbobs you have bought the most essential item a new baby could ever need, all the other stuff is just well stuff. It will get used but it won’t be loved. It won’t have its little rider make up adventures about their exploits together, winning Burleigh against all the odds, rounding up cattle on the prairie or practicing round the world and pretend gymkhana games but the rocking horse will and they will be memories made for life.

I'm sooooo jealous! Always wanted one when I was a child, and some friends of ours had a beautiful and very big rocking horse which I rode at any opportunity. When I had my own children I wanted to get them one and we had the space for it, but we always seemed to have something more important to spend the money on......well done for prioritising it now!

Nice impulse purchase @timbobs

We have one very similar - I can never resist a go on it myself when the children aren't looking......
ohh do you have a picture? I think I'm in love with rocking horses now and should start a full collection!
