I made my final decision today about the horse I posted about on Monday, yes I'm going for it

! So I've paid a 10% deposit and he's being vetted on Monday, so fingers crossed. The timing is a bit bad because I go on hols for 2 weeks tomorrow, so I will have to wait till I get home, but the owners are happy to look after him till then. Gosh I'm all excited

at the same time. After 30 yrs of dreaming about my own horse it's about to happen, I can't believe how lucky I am

Good luck. I hope all goes well for you. I waited 15 years for my horse which arrived last weekend (and looks a bit like yours but female!). I thought yours looked lovely when you posted about him.

YEH!! I hope your OH realises that all holiday you will be " my horse this, I need that, We will have to get one of those..." all about the horse! And that it will never end just get worse!!!
Post some pics when he arrives!! BTW try and enjoy your holiday- it may be one of the last you go on - you wont want to leave your horse!!!

As you own 10% of a horse so to speak, time to change name? Details please I missed last tread. Its so exciting, when the last paperwork got signed for my first, I ran out doing catwheels, also with new horses visit at least 9 times the first evening because the moment you leave the yard you want to be back! Oh and your local saddler will know the rug size, breed, bit size, height, girth size of your new horse within a week and the moment your in you'll have 'oh did the noseband fit? Did you measure him for the flysheet?"

Hes a stunning chap with a post in each corner - a good sort. Do try and enjoy your holiday. I do my other halfs head in worrying about my guys when I'm away. Fortunately my buddy now sends me picture messages most days so its like they're still with me - how sad am I !

That's so exciting hope the vetting goes well. Your holiday will fly by and you will soon be enjoying each others company. Good luck and have lots of fun

He really does look like a sweetheart, fingers tightly crossed that he passes the vetting. Bad timing for the holiday - you'll probably be thinking about him the whole time and will be looking forward to coming home!

Thanks everyone, I'm not going to change my name until I actually have him..............just in case! Won't be able to post whilst I'm away, but I'll update you when I return.

He looks georgeous - well worth the wait! Will keep fingers crossed that the vetting goes ok.

Enjoy your hol - it'll seem like ages and you'll want to be here with him.

Why change his name? George suits him!
