Depressed - broke my foot :(

Things with my mare have been stop and start since I brought her back into work a year ago after having 2 foals.

Various issues with behaviour, lameness, surgery, rehab, lost shoes, weather etc has meant we've only managed 3 months of continuous work in a year and then yesterday she broke my foot!

Just feel so down about it as I just feel we're making progress and something else goes wrong

oh you really do have my sympathy I broke my wrist in January thanks to a rather massive buck!

I know it seems really easy for me to say but the time does go (relatively) quickly! Which part of your foot is broken?

Ouch. Well take it easy with it and hopefully it will heal nice and quick. Chin up chook, things will be better soon

It's my 2nd metatarsal in the top of my foot. Also have soft tissue damage to my arch as she squashed my poor foot so flat when she jumped on me! Being reviewed in 2 weeks to see how it's all healing. I feel so useless! Poor hubby had to get up at 6am to muck out before work. I hate being so dependent for the sake of a tiny bone and some swelling!
