Ever since monday night when we had thunder and lightening, Sam has been sad, mopy and just generally looks upset and sorry for himself.
He is eating, drinking and plays ball in the garden but in the house he slinks around with his head almost touching the floor. In the morning he usually comes up onto my mums bed [spoilt dog :P] but now he stays downstairs and hides behind the lounge sofas. Even when you say 'walkies' when he goes for a walk he doesnt get excited like he used to.
He used to love his cuddles and play fights but now he just seems upset or scared all the time.
Any loud noise you make [like moving the tv or my dad collecting wood for work] he hides and shakes as if hes scared and he never used to be like this.
Could it be the heat? Or could it just be that he's just having a bad week?!
He has had quite a few ticks on him recently probably about 20 in the past 2 weeks because he likes to play in the fields at the yard, so could that be it?
Any ideas welcome, sorry its long!
Thanks

He probably senses another storm could be on it's way. Have you thought of having a DAP diffuser going? Our dog didn't give a rat's bottie about storms, or any household noises but didn't like fireworks...more the sight of them than the sound but he responded well to a DAP diffuser.
