If a neddie seems down in the dumps and a little depressed is there a pick u up to give them like a human can have or does she just have to come round with TLC.

She has been away being broken and has come home a little upset, I feel sorry for her as she just looks depressed, is sulking with us too as took 15 minutes to catch her today whereas usually we can't get rid of her !.

Maybe check for Anaemia?

Not been near any ragwort has she? Bit early though.

Or just let her settle, maybe her routine being disrupted twice so quickly has upset her.

How long has she been home? If she has been back a short time she might just be settling in, if she has been back a while perhaps she needs a vitamin & mineral supplement or a salt lick?

It is quite difficult to say without any information about what she is being fed, whether she is in work, who she is turned out with (ie if she was at a breaking yard with loads of others but is now back by herself she will be lonely) etc :)

Thanks for replies, she only came back Thursday night and is turned out with her usual companion who she has been with for the last 2 years, when we got her off the trailer she was screaming for her mate and vice versa, but today she just seems really miserable, and unsettled, she does have codlivine in her feed and is currently being rested as she is unsettled so no work, having her usual feed which is a broad spectrum mix, sugarbeet and hi-fi original.

Perhaps she made a good friend in the other yard or her companion is a bit aloof with her. My stallion went away for a week when we were on holiday and was totally stressed for several days after his return.

I would give her a few days to settle.
