Depressed - my lorry isnt selling

If it is taxed rather than SORN you legally must keep it insured even if not being driven.

Have you looked at other options with regard to your finances, like perhaps extending the term of the loan?

Also if you haven't even thought of shopping around for different insurance for your lorry have you tried shopping around for insurance for all your other stuff? What about switching your utilities? Have a read of www.moneysavingexpert.com loads of great ways to make your money go further. If you can sell your lorry in say March with the spring on the horizon you will get more for it.

i live at home, parents pay all utilities. My current monthly outgoings cannot be reduced - i have done ALOT of budgeting and finances this week.

My loan isnt the problem, that is fine.

Get a sharer for the horse? Ask your parents to bridge you until the lorry sells?

Seems like the lorry isn't going to make what you want for it quickly so you need to rethink.

Ive learnt with recently selling my 4x4 (which was a really good buy!) that unfortunately you cant have use/ownership something 'for free' and recoup your purchase price and maintainance costs. I went by what pther people were advertising theirs at but unfortunately that still doesnt mean they are actually selling them. I had to drop the price of mine by 1k to get it sold in the end which in turn has shifted the type of box that I am looking for - now a mk1 renault.

However they ARE out there for the money I have got as I have been researching and watching all year (just wasnt in a postition to buy as still had 4x4 and trailer) its just a case of being patient and waiting....... there was a n reg equipe on horsequest the other week that went for 5300 and that had 53k miles and a lot of service history and receipts with it - was just gutted I was abroad and only saw it when I came back argh!

I guess it all depends on how quickly you want it sold :)

Been trying to sell mine for ages... had quite a few viewings, one said they would take it but for 1k under my asking price, which is on the lower end with out giving it away for almost nothing others, it just hasnt quite been what they are looking for.. it has a small 2 horse area, and people who have come to view it have had rather large 2 horses to transport, which in my opinion wouldnt travel them comfortably. Im in 2 minds now to keep it, as I wont get a lorry as nice as this for the money I paid for it. Only reason I want to sell is I cant drive it on my license and it will be sitting stationery till the Summer

xx

I sold my L reg renault master to a company called 'Travel two' - they are based in Wales and specialise in selling these conversions.

They came to view, paid the asking price, and drove it away the same day.

Google the name and send them some photos - you never know?
