Depressing weather!

Im just in from puttin a mid weight rug on my mare & shes in the stable as my fields (with brill drainage) are like duck ponds! Never mind the field was so bogey pulled off a shoe and cant really ride anyway or i'll need to find horsey armbands! If are winter is anything like this im going to have to get a couple more rugs

it's awful here, hasn't rained *yet* but gale force winds...more like october than august?? and i am supposed to be having a lesson tonight!! still, i remember the weather being like this before, next year should be good it does tend to run in cycles.
 
actually i think we have our seasons 2 months ahead now. we are in autumn!

Yes im in N.Ireland 2, i saw your pics just as bad as down here (co.down) even went out 4 t sat night and the restaurant power cut off & generater had flooded!! Nice candlelit dinner though, thk gdness chef had cooked our food!

you are dead right in that statement!! mind you at least the stubble fields are soft now!!
 
I rode in the gales last night on my TB. It was quite nervewracking at times. The farm tracks which hardly ever get muddy even in winter were slippery and completely churned up so horse was all over the place esp. going down hills. I got soaked and we had to shelter in the woods for about 20 mins to avoid getting blown away and drowned. I just couldn't believe it was supposed to be August!!

No doubt we'll have a dry winter now!!
 
Yeah, but whats the price of hay going to be like this year??!! Not many people around me have managed to get theirs cut.

And my horse has pulled two shoes off in the mud AND the gateways are half way up my wellies AND shall I go on.... I am so sick of the weather!!!
 
It's awful here too - my horses are wearing MW stables & turnouts cos of the wind and the rain. Am sat looking along the coastline as I write and the rain is chucking it down and the cliffside has turned a very autumnal golden colour in places. V. depressing....
