And I'm really pleased with them. They fit well and are a little long, not that that's a surpruse for me as all long boots are and they'll drop down.

Not so pleased with the delivery though. I ordered them at the end of April. They came today. a couple of emails apologising telling me its going to be another couple of weeks. Then another couple of weeks. Not great really.

So if you can wait weeks and weeks then order from derby house. I won't be ordering from them again I don't think. Appalling service.

Service is the pits. I wouldn't order from them, full stop :)

Glad you like your boots though, imagine having to send them back and ask for the next size up??

I ordered a a few rugs from there in December all but 1 turned up within the same week but I didn't receive the last one until mid February! I haven't used them since.

I know Capriole I was worried they'd be too big but they're fine. Couldn't have gone smaller. I nearly cancelled the order because of being worried.

Just need to pop out tomorrow for some heel raises so I don't shred the back of my knee while they drop.

I just sent this back to the girl who emailed me today telling me my boots had been dispatched.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for reply. My boots arrived today and they are lovely. However I do feel that I will not be ordering from you again in the near future. The service is just not acceptable in this age of Internet shopping. So many other companies can manage good service so why can't you?

It's a shame as I bought from you as a name I have trusted and I have been riding all my life. I have had a 5 year break from riding and it appears that since then things have gone downhill. I have looked on different horsey forums and the general consensus is that your customer service is appalling.

Think how well you could do if you improved this and you were known for excellent service. Maybe then you wouldn't need to bombard people's email inboxes with sale offers on a daily basis for items you don't have in stock.

Just a thought.

Regards

I sympathise with you completely with regards to their customer service and delivery times! I am disgusted that they had money off me for a pair of boots that I only had for 4 months and then made me wait another 3 months for a replacement!

My ex ordered a pair of boots for me and had to wait some time for them to be delivered "due to high demand" they did eventually arrive in time for Xmas though! Roll on April when they developed a large split across the sole of one boot. No problem they said, send us a photo of the damage, another week went by, then e-mail requesting that I cut a piece of the top of each boot and send it to them, they would then replace the boots! (odd I know). Again like you kept being fobbed of with "updates on your order" e-mails and finally they arrived 2 days ago!

Told them in under no circumstances would I be ordering from them again nor would I recommend them to anyone..........not that they will take any notice or will it make any difference to them.

On the flip side my mother order 6 (yes 6!!) pairs of their £5 winter boots last week abd got an email today telling her that they have been dispatched and every pair is in the parcel! I have never had a problem with Derby House, ever.

The thing us they sell boots and presumably other items, that aren't in stock, with an available date, and then you have to wait weeks for them to be shipped in. If my husband ran his business like that he'd be out of business.

It doesn't help we're used to the likes of amazon ET al who are fab with their delivery.
