Anyone experiencing huge delays on orders from Derby House. Ordered on 28th June and paid for said item on this date and despite numerous chasers on my part the item is not in stock, so therefore, not being delivered - yet they are still advertising it for sale! FUMING.COM!

Ahhhh...I feel for you.

I was very tempted by their two things for £25 offer not that long ago and now Im glad i went on the side of caution!!!

Hope your stuff arrives soon :(

I'm just so cross at being fobbed off. They have been very good in the past. However, its just a standard sales blah blah when you call chasing it!#

Was so so annoyed - ordered a snuggy tuenout hood (99) a reflective jacket (64) a pair of over reach boots (5) a market Harborough (54) and a fleece (99)... guess what was in? The over reach boots and the 99 fleece but the wrong size! 4 of the items were on 2 for 25 so gutted reall.

Ive been told, by a member of staff, they advertise goods in large quantities and only have one, if any for sale! X

Derby House are terrible, as Capriole said - if you do a quick search you will find hundreds of annoyed customers (me included)! They have shocking customer service as well, it's such a shame as Derby House used to be such a good company. Hope your items turn up soon x

I rang derby house as by 2 pairs of breeches for £30 were showing as awaiting stock on my order. The lady I spoke to was lovely and tried to help me as best she could she told me what was in stock in my size and I ordered a different pair they arrived yday. Good luck in getting your order

I'm still waiting too! I ordered some stuff in the 2 for £25 offer on 25th June and I've not heard anything  I've emailed them but had no reply, grrrrr!

I bought two rugs on the 2 for £25 deal and they have only just arrived. Yes its nearly a month wait, but two rugs for £25! it was worth the wait in my eyes, i knew they arent the quickest of snails on the web before i ordered.

Would be a bit miffed if id have recieved the same wait for new stuff lol

I ordered a shirt from Derby House. It was listed on the website as in stock with a delivery time of 3-4 days. Two weeks later it still hadn't been marked as dispatched. I phoned up to enquire and was told it would be put on next day dispatch. A week later is still hadn't arrived. Emailed customer services. No reply. Phoned up and cancelled order and asked for refund. One week later order still marked as waiting to be dispatched on website and no refund. Phoned up again, spoke to a much more helpful person and they eventually cancelled my order. Three weeks after initial order and the item still hadn't been dispatched. Still waiting for refund. Will never buy from this company ever again. I googled Derby House customer service when looking for the telephone number and was shocked by some of the other reviews I read. Avoid.

I ordered from one of their sales 2 months ago, emailed them to chase a month later, got a reply saying all unavailable and the boots I wanted we're discontinued so I rang equilibrium to find out they were in stock, surprise surprise! Rang DH to tell them this and am still waiting for their response -that was 2 weeks ago. I've just emailed them today for an update but won't be holding my breath. I am however, determined to get my boots out of them!!!

All sounds very similar to my experiences with them.

An item i got fed up waiting over two months for and finally demanded a refund, was promised faithfully would be in my account later that day, still wasnt over 2 weeks late but what bugs me the most with Derby house is that they never keep you updated about these long waits. Even an email to let you know your order has been delayed, crashed in the pacific ocean, will never arrive at all, would be much appreciated.
Its the constant having your emails ignored and having to ring them all the time to find out what's going on and often being lied to/ fobbed off...that really annoys me.

Ive given up on them now.

Adios, Derby House. mush as you tempt me with your special offers, i only spend what i save at the Off License self medicating to help me through the stress of chasing down my purchases anyway :)

As others have said - search the H&H forum for many, many posts re. Derby House. After loving them in the past and always sticking up for them I am now on the other side of the fence and will never buy from them again unless I'm prepared to wait 3-6 months to receive my items i.e. I'm in no rush to have the items.

I ordered just some simple bits and pieces for dressage shows (nothing on offer - full price items) knowing that my first comp was in 6 weeks - enough time you'd think right? Took 3 months before everything arrived (I got bits in split orders over those 3 months) and by that time I'd ordered most things from other suppliers, so had to get a refund from DH - that took another 2 months to come through.

All items I'd ordered said 'in stock' on the website, due for dispatch within 3-4 days. This has happened a couple of times with them this year (made the mistake of ordering from them again) so after multiple phone calls I'm now a firm believer in that they are unable to hold stock and once a customer places an order, they will then use that money to order from their supplier hence why it takes to long to get anything out to us, the customer.

Many people on H&H have said they are going into administration so clearly they are teetering on the edge, and because of their dire finances they are not able to get stock from their suppliers so are having to order everything on a one-off basis when demand calls for it.

I'd avoid DH at all costs - yes prices are cheap but be prepared to wait around 3 months to get your items. I'd be amazed if they are still going in 2014, they cannot carry on like this for much longer.

That's my worry now too and why i will not order even if tempted. All this bad press and so many customers leaving means, if they cannot fulfill orders without using their customers money in advance to buy them now, as yet more word spreads and rumors of bankrupcy they will eventually crash and soon. If your order happens to be stuck in the system when that happens, make sure you can afford to lose it as lose it you probably will.

Don't bother trying to ring or email them. If you want a quick response go on their facebook page. I was on hold for over half hour trying to get thru to customer services to cancel an order I'd been waiting a month for. Within five mins of posting my gripe on their facebook page I got a phone call from them and was able to cancel.

I think their shop is a sign of the times, less than half of it now stocks horsey stuff, and what they have is end of line or odd sizes (4' rugs or 22" jods anybody?). There are bargains in there if you can find stuff that fits but that's the difficult bit.

There's a farm shop/butchers taking up a big chunk and an expensive looking kiddies clothing shop has opened this week taking about half the total floorspace in the building, the horse stuff now is (well spread out) in the middle square - and part of that has been taken for their telesales people so even that's not as big as it used to be.

We went at the weekend and the car park was packed but everybody there was in the cafe! Apparently the cakes are good though :)
