My boyfriend ordered me some breeches for my birthday and was assured that they were in stock and would get here in time. They hadn't arrived as promised so he called them and was told that they were out of stock! I will now not get them until god knows when. There delivery service is obviously still crap then?

I had a similar problem with them with a rug rack I ordered almost two months ago now. After it didn't turn up for 2 weeks I phoned them to be told it was out of stock but would be in stock and dispatched two days later. Another two weeks passed with nothing, so I called them again-same story. I said at the time, that I would have appreciated some form of communication to let me know that the order was delayed. Finaly last week after having to call for the third time to be told it wouldn't be in stock until the 18th December due to supplier issues, I cancelled the order and turned to Ebay. I understand that companies can encounter problems with their suppliers etc, but the least they can do is send people an email to say that their order is delayed instead of making us wait and keep calling them all the time!

So sorry to read that Derby House have lived up to there truly diabolical service. I have ordered twice in the past from them and both times they took the money from my credit card before sending out the goods that they did not have 6 weeks of having my money and repeated phone calls from both OH and my self I will never use them again. I did get my refunded 8 weeks later but they had my money all that time when I could have used the money for other things or had the small amount of interest that the bank would have given me. Makes me wonder how much money they make out of taking the money but not having the goods. Little rant about a terrible company who has no customer service at all.
 
Got the same problem, ordered some breeches in the sale at the end of august. called them after a couple of weeks to be told that they were out of stock until mid october. Called back then to be told 11th november. I still havent received them and when i call them today i will be told the same thing
Im still getting them at the sale price but im starting to wonder if its worth it.
 
I bought a rug Saturday, they didn't have the one I wanted in my local store so they rang another store who had it in stock, I paid over the phone and it arrived Tuesday! I must admit I was cautious but was extremely impressed with that service.
 
I can honestly say I have never had a problem with them infact ive always recieved a good services and gotton what I ordered with in days of ordering.
 
I used to have a lot of issues with them but recently they were really good with one of their HW t/o's in the sale. It arrived quickly and I was impressed for the first time ever. Sounds as if they are still a bit hit and miss unfortunately

Check whether they have taken money - when I ordered from them they took money without dispatching which is illegal, nothing turned up for weeks. After a fairly polite conversation where I dropped in the 'sale of goods act' yadda yadda, they sorted it out.
