Derby House Own Brand Rugs?

I've got some of their lightweight rugs. Although they hold up well and don't seem to rip easily, the front is ridiculously small. On both Donny and Fabio the top strap has to be on about the second hole from the end to give them enough shoulder room. Think they're definitely designed for slighter horses.

I will go against the grain here and say mine was awful, I wouldn't recommend.
Have heard others say the same.

i am not a fan of the DH rugs- for starters mine was a foot too big... had the wrong label sewn in.

i found that it wore well and was durable, but feel that the straps and buckles are very poor quality. i have paid less for rugs that have better quality fittings.

i wouldn't go for one again, purely due to them not exactly being cheap, and i have found other brands to be as good if not better for less money. (and my horse is not a rug wrecker in any way!)

Personally I wouldn't buy from them again, but it's great that others here have had a much better time in terms of rug quality, customer service etc. I ordered a medium weight combo from them and the whole neck part was pretty much destroyed within 24 hours (and my mare doesn't usually damage rugs). The neck strap just ripped away completely.

It took at least 5 or maybe 6 attempts to contact them for a replacement (emails, phone calls and letters) and eventually they did send them... and something broke on that within 24 hours too (think maybe leg strap but can't remember). Maybe I was just unlucky but the hassle with customer service alone was enough to put me off.

I hope that you get on better with the rugs though. It sounds like everything has improved from the other comments here. :)

Wouldn't buy them again. Have one which is very tight on her chest, the neck is also tiny. Leaked something awful too. Yes they are cheap, but I would rather spend a little bit more and get something that won't make her wet and cold.

I had a 350g heavyweight one last year for my TB. Fit was OK and it didn't rub but it lasted about 2 weeks before it was full of rips and unuseable (and my boy is not a rug destroyer)! Wasn't impressed with the quality and strength of it.
