Derby House postage issues.....help?!

I got a bit giddy after my student loan went in and bought the pony a new MW rug, boots, lunge whip, some new feed buckets etc off the DH website, whilst gleefully forgetting the woe people have had on here.

I bought my items on the 29th December, and I'm still waiting. I know New Year was in the middle of that but it's a maximum of 5 working days from dispatch, and they were dispatched on the 2nd...

The email told me to track my parcels through Yodel, however the reference number is not recognised by the website tracker service.

I am going to ring them up tomorrow afternoon if nothing comes and rant a bit. I've been in hospital but there is always someone at home so it's not like the items have arrived but failed to deliver.

Anyone else have similar issues and were they resolved?

Yes, with Yodel. Have had 2 parcels that never turned up. I avoid using companies that have Yodel for deliveries.

Hope you get yours though, they can't lose everything.
 
Yodel - well - but you can't blame DH for Yodel not delivering. I had a parcel delivered today, the van driver signed for it when I took a moment to answer the door, his partner brought the parcel to my door. Working together for a quicker get-away.:mad::mad:
 
I still haven't had my christmas present from them :( my dad ordered a hi-wither numnah 10 days before christmas and he hasn't even had a dispatched email. Urgh!!!
 
I have had mixed results recently (always ok previously) - I ordered a tack box and a fleece about a week ago. The tack box came safe and sound but I have had a message from Yodel that they tried to deliver my parcel and I wasn't in and they left a card. Well, I have been at home with pneumonia and not left the house! No other deliveries this week. As another poster said, Yodel don't recognise the reference number and there is no answer from the phone number. I'll try again tomorrow.

I have ordered a couple of other things today, so hope they come ok as this order was for slightly more value!
 
Update - as if by magic, I was awoken to 2 texts this morning, giving me a different reference number and saying my parcels were now on their way.

So, the emails saying they were dispatched.....clearly dispatched has another meaning to them! Hopefully they'll be here early next week.

I had a problem with Yodel. I paid for next day delivery & initially they 'mislaid' my parcel, then it just didn't arrive. When I checked my tracking number it said that my parcel had been delivered & signed for by a Mr Smith. I checked with my neighbours and all the same house numbers in the roads around us, but no parcel.

Derby House weren't very helpful to start off with and I had to constantly hound them via email to get a refund. It took weeks and I would never use either Derby House or Yodel again.
 
I have also found that with DH, they seem to email saying items 'dispatched' but presumably this just means they have finished processing it so it will still be up to 5 working days until it's actually delivered... once you've got the text it should be with you shortly... hopefully! I've found with DH it's best to order stuff and expect to receive it in a few weeks, then I end up pleasantly surprised when it arrives sooner!
