I ordered 4 rugs from the sale yesterday (at 9.15 I may add!) just checked and no e-mail confirmation. So checked their website & it seems order hasn't gone through.

Called them and basically their computer was accepting orders yesterday that they do not have the stock for. Then when they get to the processing stage the orders are rejected. This is happening even when only one of the rugs is unavailable. It is cancelling the whole order.

'Apparently' they are trying to get round to calling everyone about these orders. Lady on the phone was very helpful & it's not her fault but this does make me a bit

So just a warning - if you bought rugs yesterday, check your e-mail and your account online. If the order doesn't show there then I would give them a call. Two out of the 4 that I ordered are unavailable & the lady on the phone said there are 'hundreds' of rejected orders.

Sorry

Ah, you must be ok then.

Is only a few of the lines - where they only had one or two rugs.

The ones I ordered that were out were a jasper stable rug 6'6 and a Landa combo 6'3

Oh no!!

I haven't had an email so it isn't looking good.

I will have to wait until I finish work to ring but I will kick up a stink!

There was the same problem last week and I kicked up a stink and got non sale items for half price. Put your foot down.

I feel really bad for you guys that ave not had confirmation of your orders.

As said put your foot down complain about the fact that you have not had the items in your order as one item was out of stock your whole order was cancelled. There should have been an alert when you were putting the order through to say one item was out of stock did you want to continue, not cancel your whole order. Its not on!!

Have any of you ever actually been to Derby House!?

They have a huge sale room there and it is absolute CHAOS! People climbing over each other (including staff), to get to the rug they want before anyone else can! Rugs all over the floor. People everywhere.

This doesn't surprise me!!!

Yes I have been to 2 different Derby House outlets and I know the chaos you speak of but these are pre thought out and organised discounts of non sale stock. They have been planning these mid week madnes events for some time now and after last weeks cock up they still have not managed to get it right!

Me too, will ring the later. But i dont have a order conformation number or anything i stupidly thought it would be emailed to me so never bother to write it down. What do i do now?!

That's what I mean - the way they coordinate their sales room at their place in Lancashire, or at least the atmosphere in there, means that I am not surprised about this. Maybe I get the impression they couldn't organise a p up in a brewery?

I have been to a DH outlet. I was very disappointed, I get much better service at the tack bit of my local feed merchant. Wouldn't go again. Sniff.

With last week's sale if something was out of stock the order was put on hold, not cancelled, followed up with a call from them to discuss further. When I ordered stuff last week nothing came up on my account nor did I get an order confi but my order is now on my account (although still waiting for delivery).

PS ALWAYS PRINT YOUR ORDER CONFI OR WRITE DOWN YOUR ORDER NO.!

Typical Derby House....

[/ QUOTE ]

Just what I was thinking, I have an email confirming my order but tbh that means nothing much with Derby House, fingers crossed the rug arrive this side of christmas and is the right size and colour I ordered!

Argh I hadn't checked my email and had recieved one last week saying that my order had been cancelled due to one item being out of stock. Highly doubt I could order what I did order now because the sale ended. Very annoyed!

Lost my order too: I ordered a Amigo and it said they were in stock and then it fell over at the checkout saying no longer in stock: i need to check my statement i'll be so cross if they have taken the money.

This is typical Derby House bad planning: I think us horsey folk are very lenient with them and put up with the c****y service: if they were selling goods in the market place they would not last five minutes with such bad customer service.

I ordered two amigos, and it said not in stock right at the end...no-one has rang me yet.

I still haven't heard what is happening from last Wednesday, when I ordered lots of clothes, then some were out of stock, so I said I'll have whatever was in stock......still nothing.......

Thanks I'll ring again now and see what they say.

I still haven't received my clothes from last week and am not going to receive half of it due to the computer accepting orders that were out of stock. I need some of the bits for Monday so just phoned them to tell them off! You would have thought after last weeks fiasco they would have sorted out their systems. If their computers can't handle this kind of sale then they shouldn't do the, tbh.

I have become a real pain to these mail order houses - always ask them to confirm your item is definitely in stock (cos DH in particular won't tell you until you ring up to complain) and if you live in a rural area check which courier they use. I've had to trek miles to a parcel depot, whereas if they use Parcelforce or Royal Mail our lovely village post office will hold them for me!

I've just seen that Robinsons have got a Rug Rummage online and I am going to spend a fortune kitting my new horse out for winter with rugs he doesn't need but they are so cheap I just can't resist!!

BLESS THEM--- NOT!!!
I have just received 3 copies of their new catalogue--so environmentally friendly

I can beat that. I ordered ONE 6'6 Weatherbeeta Arion rug, their computers didn't confirm the order at all, which it said it would. I reordered once.
Result - I got confirmation 24hrs later of THREE rugs...which were being sent to me.
I phoned to stop two of them, and was told I should have cancelled them earlier (before I received the confirmation?) and that they would charge me postage both ways on the rugs.
It took all my daemonic powers of persuasion to get them not to send me the two duplicate orders.
