Hi all,

Ive got a youngster who has shredded 3 rugs in a month! Its costing a fortune to send them to be repaired (one cost £31 to be washed, reproofed and repaired

) so i was wondering about getting one of the rug sets but i am having doubts as to whether it would turn up or not!! He's currently in a 6ft in weatherbeeta and musto rugs and he has an old shires rug on atm which is a 5'9. As he's not even 2 yet i would get him the 6ft rugs, i thought it was quite good value to get 3 rugs for that price seeing as he's still growing. So i was wondering are the rugs good quality or not, and should i risk ordering them? Unfortunately he would have to wear pink as there's no blue sets left!

I wouldn't bother
They took 4 week to arrive. I aslo ordered a MT tail guard at the same time and there is no sign in that and we we've called we've never had an answer.
As for the quality of the rugs I'm not sure what they're like because my set is sat in the garage for use as spares.

I'm very grumpy now as I ordered mine before December 27th!!!

I bought a set for Herbie they came quite quickly considering i ordered over xmas. I got emails to update me on my parcel even one to tell me it had been delivered which i read 2 days later

They look good quality for the money although Herbie isn't wearing his yet as i still can't get near him with the clippers

so he doesn't need them yet.

I bought a DH rug shortly after christmas, arrived quickly, and has worn wellso far. . . just dirty now, as u can see by the photo!!!

Would use them again

Horse in my siggie has the DH turnout on.
He is usually a 5'9 and the 5'9 rug set fitted well.
FAB value for money IMO

Mine came within a few days too

Derby House rugs,I found rubbed my TB raw and ripped in hours. Premier Equine is the best quality by far and best value, esp now they have a sale, imho.
Would never buy anything else.

ime came really quickly and seem ok, but its the katie price fllece you get instead of the DH own one which i was not best amused with

really??
I'll check my pack tomorrow, if it is a KP rug it's going straight on ebay!!!

its *ok* quality.......i got the KP rug too instead of the fleece and although i wasnt too bothered as only wanted it as a travel rug anyway, im annoyed there was not mention of this (its only for a shetlend, before you all lynch me for putting a KP rug on a horse!!!!)

the cut of the combo rug isnt great on him-he's quite fit and has a very mucled up stalliony neck so they wouldnt suit cobby types i wouldnt think.

aaaaaaaaaaaaand, he's only wearing it as a stable rug so no comments re how hard wearing it is.

TBH i dont think id bother again.

very good quaility and lovely and thick! unfortunatly heard bad things about delivery services (very slow) but i got mine from the shop so wouldn't know!
ETS mine came with the DH fleece and not the aktie price one

i would much rather the derby house rug as the kp one has no cross surcingles !! so can only really be used as a travel rug and i can hardly turn up at a BS show with a 17hh black wb decked out in a bright pink kp fleece can i???????
p.s sorry for my awful spelling in my previous post, i really should read things through!!!

I wouldn't buy from Derby House again. Had a LOAD of trouble with them, awful customer service etc. First combo T/O broke (a clip) within 24 hours and the replacement which we finally got 5 or 6 weeks later also broke (strap on neck completely ripped) within 48 hours. However, some people have had good service from them so perhaps it's hit and miss and I've just had bad luck!

Well I decided to send off for the rug set on Tues evening and it has just arrived

was worried it wouldnt come! rugs look ok, am off to put one on little man, he will look like the pink panther tonight!!!!
