Derby house rug sizing

Do derby house rugs come up small or large?

My horse is usually in a 6'3" apart from horseware rugs which he takes a 6'6".

Looking at getting a derby house turnout as a spare as his best rug been ripped badly and needs repairing.

Also seen a saxon rug that reasonably priced but do these come up big or small?

Dont want to spend more than 50 pound

I found my DH heavyweight combo came up "on the snug side" as did my Saxon light weight so maybe go with the larger size...

id order a size bigger than he normally is, there a tad tight on the shoulders of both my ish, and wb

Thats interesting. Both my ISH have good shoulders (one is too big on the shoulder for a regular large breast plate or martingale..) but he fits fine in a DH rug at his normal size. His amigo rugs are tight on his shoulder, and he is verging on the next size..

My TBs DH is his normal size. Fits really well even with extra layers underneath
