I'm thinking of getting a pro medium combo from derby house as I only have the one rug and it's no good just he one with all this rain. Anyone have Them ? What were they like ? Hoping it would last the rest of this winter and next winter

I swear by them for my lad, the 600d ones are a bit flimsy but the 1200d ones are as good as any rug I've ever had. I've got a few on their third winter and they're still going strong.

if the Pro are the 1200D then they are good rugs-I have a 70g one, watertight and fit my boy well (otherwise he's in WB). Horrible colour on him (burgandy on a bay) but a useful rug. Detachable neck which is as about as useful as other detachable necks but alright-nice and long, well shaped-gapes a bit at the bottom when head is down.

I have a number of DH rugs as my horse seems to be distinctly DH-shaped. As above - the 1200D are really very good value. The 600D are a bit flimsy, but I have a MW one which has never leaked and is now into its second year. All mine have necks on, but the detachable neck is the only bum purchase I would say: quite a lot of gaping.

The seem to be on better-than-half-price sale according to the advert which keeps popping up on my Facebook. Definitely worth a punt.

PS - Mine are all either blue or grey. Where are you all buying these revolting colours?

I have two the same as Motherofchickens
Sadly one got wrecked not the rugs fault, daughter took it off and left it on the gate, over inquisitive Shetland pony "played" with it :(
Agree though nice rugs and hold up well under normal use!
I dislike the cheapy 600d ones though, think they are awful.

I love dh rugs. They seem to fit everything from my tbs to my chunkier Shetland's! I have some on their third or fourth year too and they've never leaked nor got excessively heavy when wet

I'd go 6'3" if the Tempest is a good fit. I also have a Shires Tempest and buy the same size DH as Shires. You need to allow a little bit so they can put their heads down to graze without running their shoulders raw.

Also, nothing worse than seeing half a backside poking out of the end of a rug!
