Have they stopped trading? I'm getting redirected to Brand Alley, but there doesn't seem to be any equestrian stuff there.

Yes I got that too, and it seems I wrongly assumed that I'd still be able to buy Derby House products.

Does anyone remember the old days, I used to live Derby house catalogues, had all the posh showing stuff. Still have my first set of breeches and canary shirt from there.
Ride away was also amazing, loved those catalogues too.
Robinsons sale… was it about now, bank holiday weekend? Real bargains, still have a set of stable bandages for there which i bought for £2. Those were the days, so old now 😭

Yes, when DH was independent and everything was top quality. I visited the shop once, it was a really quirky little shop, two-storey with a rustic staircase packed full of wonderful things!

Ah ok, there was a very similar sounding tack shop in Moreton, originally called Moreton Saddlery. A very higgldy piggldy place with a very wonky staircase going to a very wonky upstairs. It was sold to Derby House, so yes they must have already been up and running prior to owning that.

Yes I remember this! And the Old Robinsons catalogues...before everything was sold on the Internet!

Derby house and ride away have entered into administration. Their websites have been taken down. If customers are waiting for an order it will not arrive, contact your card company for a refund.

If you paid on a credit card this is good advice. One reason credit card interest is so high is that it pays for the bank take on that liability. If you paid on a debit card then I suspect you are just an unsecured creditor and might lose your money. Obviously you should still ask, but I wouldn't assume that money will be refunded. Apparently it isn't an automatic right and might vary by bank. Also, even if it is refunded at your first request it can be taken back again later when they work out what's going on, so maybe don't spend it straight away.

I remember the lovely shiny Derby House catalogue. It was the real high end shop. Loved Rideaway and Robinsons too. I’m sure Shires also used to have a nice catalogue. There was one called Cam as well? Oh and Olney Saddlery.

As a child I used to sit looking through them all choosing what I would have for my future horse. It’s a shame they’ve gone the way they have. Sign of the times I suppose.

Yes, CAM Equestrian, it used to have tons of machinery and agricultural bits in it, used to love sitting down with a cuppa to flock through that, the Shires catalogue and Robinsons. It’s a real shame Rideaway and Derby House are in administration, both were great places to visit.

What a shame. It was an amazing shop in the early days. Like a treasure trove. I could spend hours there. Never felt remotely the same when it got its new, posh premises.

Derby house face book page looks like they are trading(THEY ARE NOT TRADING) The DH website gives details of the liquidating company, (administrators) if you've bought from them recently and not received anything I think it will be a long slow job getting your money back.
