My coloured gipsy cob gets little circular patches of dermatitis in hot sunny weather. The hair just vanishes to leave a small patch of bald pink skin, about the size of a 50p piece. No inflammation and not itchy. I'm not so much worried about the patches as I know it is quite common in coloured cobs, especially those with a lot of pink skin and white hair. Just wondered if anyone has a tried and tested way to heal them? In hot weather she has an anti UV rug and a face mask because she burns badly too. The patches aren't sunburn, just unexplained dermatitis that affects gipsy cobs on the pink skin/white hair parts of their body.
