I'm friends with some people who run a charity in Spain and they have asked whether I could help them find a good canine dermatologist as one of their dogs has serious skin problems. I'm not quite sure whether they simply want to consult someone, bring the dog to the UK for treatment or pay for someone to fly out and see the dog, but I said that i would try and find them some names/ addresses so if anyone knows of anyone, please could you let me know? I got a very upset email from one of my friends over there last night and I feel like I should do something. They are lovely people and the dog, Leticia, is a real sweetheart. I've never met people who would do more for animals than they would, hence why they're desperate to help her.
Do you think small animal hospitals might be the best people to contact? I only know of the one in Liverpool but presumably there are lots!
Thanks all :)

I think all / most of the referral hospitals attached to the veterinary universities will likely have one (certainly the Queen Mother hospital attached to the RVC does) as will some of the bigger referral centers (eg the Animal Care Trust) and I bet if you do a search there will be vets specializing in dermatology dotted around the country either operating out of their own practice or visiting local practices offering their services. I think it's doubtful that they'd get someone to come out specially but I guess it depends and can't hurt to ask
