Dermobium

No and don't order it from Australia or somewhere where it is still legal as it's illegal to import into the UK or even use in this country - even one pot of the stuff! Defra will be all over you like a rash (I speak from experience).

It is sold as Dermapred in Australia and your vet would be able to import it if they were certain that nothing else will do the job. I am hearing similar reports of the effectiveness of flamazine to dermobion, but I'm still hoping to eek my pot out for a good few years yet.

Why won't someone licence it for use in the EU? It was such great stuff.

It was somethign to do with one of the ingredients iirc - the bit that did the work of course!!

I sold my friend my half tube when I sold her my first aid kit a few years ago - shes still got it and we still use it, wonderful wonderful stuff.

If you are after something for mud fever, flamazine (comes in a tube or in a 500g pot) and synulox (comes in tubes like the ones for cow mastitis) are both fantastic - but both prescription. Having said that (about the script) if you were to go to the vets, tell them that you horses have mud fever, youd be unlucky not to be allowed some ( bit like asking for blue spray for thrush - you have to go through the motions, but it would be unusual to NOT be allowed it)

Dermobium is called prednoderm in Australia. I think the ingredient in it that is now banned is nitrofurazone - which is carcenogenic which is why its not allowed in UK!

what are you wanting to use it for - there are many different ointments that can be used that are just as effective!
