HE HAD HIS HEAD OUT THE STALBE DOOR WHEN WE CAME!!

Although he still looks very ill to the other horses in hospital stables.

For first five minuits I really would not believe it was Dermot, I checked it was his headcollar, his markings. Different horse to yesterday. The vet said he'd perked up when he saw us get out the car. The nurses took him for a little walk ealier and through out the night they had got alot less water being tubed out via nose....Really can not get hopes up though because its such earlie days and things could go wrong quickly. There of course is still the grass sickness to worry about and results will take three days. If he has grass sickness then he doesn't have much hope.

He's over a big hurdle, great to see him up on his feet. Fingers crossed all goes well for him... Keep fighting Dermot..

So glad he was up when you got there. Fingers crossed and lots of good healing vibes are winging their way over. Hoping that they have managed to sort him out and that it's not GS. Come on Dermot Mummy's done her bit now you do yours. Lots of hugs

He is at Arundel Equine hospital...Very lucky to have such good place barely a mile down the road. Thank you for all this support, it's brillant that so many care about him. I have had so many texts from every body from the yard etc too... Dermot and me are so greatful. These vibes must be doing something. If he does have GS lets hope its chronic at least theres a glimmer of hope over straight pt.

What a welcoming sight for you and seeing you will have given him a boost too. So fingers and toes are still crossed and lots of positive vibes coming your way. Thank you for the update and keep them coming. Again good luck..xx

I am so pleased to have logged on and read this. Dermot is one of my fav HHO horses. Fingers crossed he keeps getting better.

Just read your other post, so reading this one afterwards is just fantastic! He is up, he looks reasonably alert and he is (fingers crossed) over the worst. You must feel like a limp rag, but he must feel so much better now. +++ vibes for a full recovery.

Thank you for letting us know.
Not out of the woods yet, but seeming more positive than earlier.

Knowing youre still around to give him a stroke and gentle pat will help his recovery

He looks pretty good for a horse that has just had major surgery. It's a long process but he looks to have got through the worst pretty well. Hopefully the Grass Sickness concerns will be unfounded - he certainly doesn't look like any horse I'e seen with GS.
