Describe to me a 'show hunter pony' please

I am intreagued - I know what a show pony is and a working hunter pony. But I would like to know what a show hunter pony should like like and be expected to do in a show. Thanks

Just google it, and look through the images, and look in Horse and Hound showing reports. When Al tried her hand at showing, it's all we did until we found what we reckoned her horse would be, and then used the images to get the correct turnout.

hmmm, in my head the picture under 'in hand' on that website looked like a show pony. From the description- I was expecting something with a little more substance.

I think the 'in-hand' photo is of a youngster, so not as substantial as a fully mature SHP would be.

This is my boy, he was bred as a riding pony but grew too big. As the fashions have changed, he's now 22yo, he would be classed more as a show hunter pony. Unfortunately i'm too old to show him as one.
