Desensitisation training for beginners...

Lovely, but I don't do other people's cast offs :p I prefer to deal with my own mistakes!

Is your collie a sable then JFTD:eek::D

Well spotted! He is indeed sable

It is fab, but just to be the boring old f **t, I'd take the head collar off.
Yours, the H&s officer

Is that really the best you can do? :p

It's leather, it'll snap anyway :)

Oh Dabdab I did indeed. It went like this:

"ooh that looks risky...

I'll do it anyway :D "

:D

I will always notice an odd coloured dog over a horse playing on a low loader :p

Is he registered? I had a shaded sable bitch once from very down south, and a clear sable dog from Wales. Neither were any good on sheep however! Only seen one I'd have liked on sheep and her owner was an eejit and she wasn't registered. :(

He is very much registered, from the Bartok stud, Sussex... Bartok Wolf fire Reiver :) He's very sweet and very trainable but I'm not sure he'd be assertive enough for sheep (I'd like to find out!). My previous lad, Toby, would've been grand. He was by Astra Mars at the ISDS (via a Bartok bitch).

Well that's alright then - I see lots of adverts on tv saying that accidents happen when you least expect them - so as long as you expected an accident more when doing this than at some other time then you were sure to have an accident-free experience.

Ok, you know best.

You're not in the HHO mentality tonight are you? Nobody's once told me to "go and fall on my head and die" or called me a twerp, or a fat cow or told me I shouldn't be allowed to own horses

(all true comments from this forum, btw, though not all directed at me! :D )

eta - brilliant, Dabdab! Like the "most car accidents happen within a mile of home" so I park my car a mile away and walk the last mile mentality :p
