Long, rambling post!

The Giant walked through his first big puddle today. Not even a moment of hesitation. I was both proud, and bemused - this is Ireland, I was expecting puddles to be more of a feature in our day to day lives! Ah well, at least he is not bothered by water! :D

I have been wanting to do puddle walking for some time, as I want him used to everything. We have also done wheelie bins, donkeys, cows, sheep, gates, demented small birds, large bouncy dogs, tractors, low flying planes, cats in hedges, rattly trailers, assorted cars, gritters (with lights flashing), flapping plastic, and sandbags.

He has learned to be rugged, and to be groomed. He had driving harness on to get him used to blinkers and rollers/cruppers, etc - he fell asleep. The vet can do anything with him at all. Takes his wormer without any quibble - but this probably counts as eating to him. Trimmer is a work in progress as he still overbalances sometimes. Can muck out and poo pick around him. Catches in and turns out nicely. Halts on verbal command, walks and trots in hand. Avoids stepping on handler when they fall over their own feet.

Quite a busy six months! What are your little goals that matter training wise? And how far are you in achieving them?
